Snake Avoidance Course
Our 3 week Snake Avoidance course gives you all the skills needed to teach your dog to walk away from a hissing snake without a cue from you.
What is it?
Give your dog a head start on avoiding hissing snakes. What would your dog do if they came across a snake in the forest? You may or may not know the answer. Rather than waiting to find out, let's create the response we want. The behaviour isn’t reliant on you noticing the snake first, your dog will do it all by themselves.
This short course will teach you how to teach your dog to avoid a hissing snake. With homework and training guides, you can continue training in-between sessions and after the course.
Who is it for?
Any dog who walks in the forest. In particular, if your dog:
- searches in the hedges
- goes out of sight on walks
- shows an interest in wildlife

Details:
As always, force free positive reinforcement training. A maximum of four dogs in a class, secure private outside training area with on-site parking. All ages, breeds and abilities welcome.
This course is also available as a 3 week one to one course for owners or dogs who’d prefer individual training. 3 x 30mins One to One with training guides and homework.
No real snakes are used in the course.
